Meet Alarie
Alarie Tennille was born and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia, with a genius older brother destined for NASA, a ghost, and a yard full of cats. She was a pioneer coed at the University of Virginia, graduating with a BA in English, Phi Beta Kappa Key, and Black Belt in Feminism. Aside from laying the groundwork for her dream to become a writer, UVa introduced her to future husband Chris at a reception for English majors. Life is good! After four years of marriage, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri, and Alarie’s writing career finally began to take shape. Now retired, she still devotes her time to writing. She serves on the Emeritus Board and Programming Committee of The Writers Place. Alarie and Chris both work diligently at supporting the best restaurants in the area, and she regularly shares the antics of her cats, Rimsky and Watson, on Facebook.
